  • Kemp Munnik

    Chartered Tax Advisor

    Kemp has a long track record of leading both structured solutions and tax departments in private and public financial institutions. A Harvard Business School graduate, Kemp’s career includes having worked at the South African Revenue Services, as well as being part of the team that initiated Project Finance at the then United Bank (ABSA). As Head of Tax at an international accounting firm, BDO, South Africa, Kemp was awarded an International Tax award by BDO, Global, and was later appointed as BDO, South Africa Head of Advisory.

    The provision of bespoke tax strategies to businesses, families and ultra-high-net-worth individuals.

  • Lauren Hart

    LLB, Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa

    Lauren has extensive experience in International Tax, with over 10 years of experience both in the consulting and corporate space. Her in-house experience allowed her to understand better what clients need from their trusted tax advisors and has led her to adopt a solutions-focused and strategic approach in assisting clients to navigate the ever-changing tax landscape impacting their business.

  • Anneke Fourie

    B Com Acc (cum laude), B Com Acc (Hons), CA (SA), M Com (International Accounting)

    Anneke’s extensive experience in financial reporting and international financial reporting standard applications is the result of a career that has included holding the position of CFO for two private companies, and having worked as a Senior Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers in the Capital Markets Group. Here she specialised in the valuation and technical accounting of financial instruments.

    Financial reporting and international financial reporting standards; the provision of tailor-made strategies; expert guidance on all finance-related aspects of establishing and running a business.

  • Charles R van Staden

    B.Com (Law), LLB, LLM (Banking and Stock Exchange Law), admitted as Advocate.

    Charles is a recognised expert in the field of exchange control, with more than 40 years’ experience in this area, including 27 years at the South African Reserve Bank. Charles is a life member of the Institute of Bankers in South Africa and an ex-audit and risk committee member of the University of Johannesburg.

    Key focus areas
    Submitting applications to the Financial Surveillance Department on behalf of high-net-worth clients wishing to emigrate or externalise capital for investment purposes; assistance in obtaining the necessary permissions to inward list; acting as an exchange control expert witness; assisting clients in regularising their exchange control matters.

  • Helene Fourie

    CA (SA), HDip Tax Law, PG. Dip International Tax

    Helene is a qualified chartered accountant holding a higher diploma in tax law, a mining tax law certificate and a post-graduate diploma in international tax. Her career includes having been an Associate Director in Tax at BDO, South Africa, for almost two decades, and as a Corporate Tax Specialist at a boutique advisory firm.

    Corporate tax advisory; mineral royalty advisory; compliance support for both listed and unlisted clients.

  • Marty Santana

    Master Tax Practitioner

    With over 40 years’ experience in all areas of taxation, Marty’s career includes having worked as a Tax Director for both WTS, South Africa, and BDO, South Africa, and as a Senior Manager at Deloitte, South Africa.

    Key focus areas
    Tax compliance and consulting to high-net-worth individuals and expatriates; tax consulting on global employment; PAYE matters, including training on legislation, reviews and due diligences.

  • Hanna Marais

    Hanna is a director with over three decades working in the fiduciary services industry, acting as representative trustee for both high-net- and ultra-high-net-worth- individuals and families, and advising entrepreneurs. Hanna serves as the deputy Chair of STEP Johannesburg and The Fiduciary Institute of Southern Africa, Gauteng Region.

    Key focus area Succession planning and generational wealth transfer of generational wealth; advice on trust, tax and compliance legislation.
